Others In Missions With Us . . . .
This shed sits outside of our Parish Hall, and the vehicles dropping off clothing come and go day and night!
The mission of St. Pauly is to collect usable clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, linen, blankets and drapes...all to distribute those donations to people that can use them in the United States and in developing countries. Instead of ending up in landfills, these items join with others collected from over 200 other sheds throughout central and western New York, get processed, and distributed world wide. In 2007, more than 38 million garments were distributed to an estimated 3.8 million people.

We are thankful and grateful for the outstanding community support of this mission.

This all-female singing group has a long tradition of musical excellence in the Oneida area, featuring up-beat, "barbershop style" vocal favorites. They often perform in public to various groups and in general concert, and they meet in our Parish Hall every Wednesday at 6:00 pm to rehearse, with occasional Saturday workshops under the supervision of professionals who come from out-of-town to help them improve their artistry.
This is a pleasurable and artistic ministry to the greater community, and we are pleased to offer the Sounds of Silver a place to call home. If you enjoy the challenge of crisp singing in ensemble, come to one of the Wednesday night practice sessions.
Instruction in Northern Wu Taijiquan (Tai Chi) and Qigong (Chi-kung) is offered twice weekly on Thursday from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, and again on Saturday from 8:00 to 9:30 AM.
Classes are on-going and beginners are always welcome. Monthly fee $40.00
Taiji is an internal art that has been shown to reduce stress, improve immune system function, and promote mental clarity. Its low impact movements improve flexibility and balance, while strengthening bone density and core muscle groups. Students are encouraged to learn at their own pace, with classes including both individual and group instruction.
Instructor Marie Campanie has studied Taijiquan for 15 years with David Dolbear of White Crane Studios and the Northern Wu Taijiquan Research Institute. For more information, call Marie at 315-697-3190, or email her at amcampanie@gmail.com.
St. John's is pleased to host this wonderful and peaceful discipline of restful exercise and meditation.

The Oneida Nursery School is a very, very active part of the St. John's complex as an independently owned and operated nursery school serving two, three and four-year olds for the better part of 28 years.
Sandy Mennig is the owner of the school and one of its teachers and, with that 28 years of experience, she is absolutely delightful and masterful with these young children. The school has morning and afternoon sessions, and remains open on the same schedule as the local public school system. Besides a room and calendar full of pre-school activity, Sandy and her staff often have special parties for Halloween, Valentine's Day, Christmas, and other days in our Parish Hall...occasionally with live music, costumes, games, food, and lots more.
Early registration is recommended, and potential registrants are always welcome to visit.
Please contact Sandy Mennig by calling the Oneida Nursery School in the church at 315-363-0238, or by calling her at home after 4:00 PM at 315-495-6234, or email her at cookrd2@windstream.net.
