About Our Church

Generations of God’s faithful people have been worshiping in the Episcopal manner in Oneida NY since the early 1800s. In 1843, we were received into the Episcopal Church USA as St. John’s Church, and we have been an active parish in our diocese ever since.

Our current building, built in 1893, stands faithfully on Oneida’s main street as a witness to our Christian commitment in our community. We are active members of the Oneida Area Council of Churches, and support that group’s feeding and outreach initiatives. We also pursue outreach projects specific to our parish, as we seek to be Christ’s Body in the time and place where God has graciously placed us.
